I just wanted to let you know about a new project I am working on. It’s a range of videos that explore, more fully and in more depth, what contemporary art is – the aim is to help people feel more confident and knowledgeable about art. About wanting people to enjoy it, instead of feeling that it’s not for them. Some of the films will be short and free; others will be longer and geared towards students or artists that feel like they need to refresh their thinking. I’ll be looking at things like: ‘what is criticality?’; ‘what and where is painting?’ and a host of other subjects. It could end up being a course; and/or a book., all available on my website.
